Late goal shatters Llanfairfechan's cup final hopes
AN 88th minute goal dashed Llanfairfechan Town's hopes of a place in tomorrow night's Gwynedd Cup final when they lost 2-1 at home to Llanllyfni on Monday (7 May). After conceding a Jason Roberts goal in the opening minute, Llanfairfechan were level at half-time through Gareth Jones, and missed a number of chances to put the tie out of reach. But with extra time looming, Llanllyfni substitute Michael Williams grabbed the late match winner. Llanllyfni now play Beaumaris Town, who won 2-0 at Blaenau Ffestiniog in Monday's other semi-final, in the final at Porthmadog FC on Friday 11 May, 7pm kick off).
