WELCOME TO LLANFAIRFECHAN COASTAL GATEWAY TO THE SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK Llanfairfechan is a small seaside town in Conwy, North Wales, UK. Conwy Walking Week - 1 - 8 July 2010
Their announcement in County Council's "Bulletin" magazine reads: "From mountain to moor to coast, this year we have eight days filled with 47 walks and activities. Whether you are an experienced walker or have never walked before, there should be plenty for all. New this year we have the three-day (40 mile) Coastal Challenge between Abergele and Llanfairfechan. Join us for all 3 days or just the one. Enjoy a traverse of the Carneddau on all-day mountain walks. There are eight evening walsk for you to stretch your legs after a long day's work. Or why not try the popular Nordic Walking to burn up some serious calories. We have a series of themed walks from historical, archaeological, wild flowers and navigation at a variety of locations, including Penmaenmawr, Llanfairfechan, Llanrwst, Cwm Idwal, Llansannan, Llangernyw, Pentrefoelas and Hiraethog. We have the challenge of mine exploration and a navigation day for older children. Geocaching and fossil hunting for families, along with pram and toddler walks for the young ones.
