Llanfairfechan’s annual Carnival is the biggest event in the Llanfairfechan calendar.
In 2016, it is taking place on Saturday 25 June.
The coronation ceremony for the Carnival Queen and her court is held during the preceding week at the Community Centre on Village Road, and this year takes place on Wednesday 22 June in the Town Hall. (Doors open at 6pm to start at 6.30pm.)
Saturday 25 June is the big day, including the procession of royal floats from Llanfairfechan and other places visiting, and will include a band, dancers and dressed-up characters. The procession starts gathering at 12 noon, then heads off around the village at 1pm, ending at the beach. From the Beach Pavilion cafe along the promenade will have a fair and stalls. Details of other attractions to follow.
There is no admission charge.
The Carnival Committee are looking for volunteers to help at the Crowning on Wednesday 22nd June and for Carnival day on Saturday 25th June. If you would like to get involved, or have any other enquiries regarding the Carnival, please either message via the inbox on the Carnival’s Facebook page or ring Dia Bellis 680306. Thank you.
