This year’s Christmas lights will be switched on on Saturday 19 November 2016, and the event will take place between 2pm and 10pm. A funfair will be in Village Road with live reindeer and live music, craft stalls and a freet Santa grotto (Micky & Minnie)in the Community Centre. The funfair will commence at 2.00pm, with the arrival of Santa and the switching on of the lights at 6.20pm.
Please note: Village Road will be closed to traffic for this event on Saturday 19 November.
This year’s annual service of remembrance will take place on Sunday 13 November 2016. A procession, led by the Mayor, will start from the Community Centre on Village Road, to the cenotaph on Aber Road. Please be present by 10.25am. The Remembrance Service will be held by the cenotaph on Aber Road at 10.45am. Pre-ordered poppy wreaths are available for collection from the Town Clerk’s office on Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings only, between 9.15am and 12.00 noon.

Come and meet Dogs Trust Education and Community Officer, Bethan. You will learn all about what a dog needs to be happy and healthy, and how to stay safe around dogs.
There will be craft activity after the workshop.

Dog lovers – good news! Valley Dog Training is starting classes in Llanfairfechan. There will be an initial meeting in the Church Institute, Park Road, Llanfairfechan on 11 June 2016 at 10.00 am. This will be an introductory talk without dogs for the first meeting. Please come and see for yourself the level of instruction, advice and support these classes offer. These sessions will teach you how to train your dog whilst having fun and making friends human and canine. Hope to see you there.
A new charity shop opening in Llanfairfechan on Saturday 25 June 2016 (Carnival day!). All proceeds will go to help fund Idlewild Animal Sanctuary in the village. A Conwy charity for local older people charity is starting free legal clinics in Llanfairfechan community centre from Thursday 12 May 2016. from 4 – 6pm.
It will be run in conjunction with Swayne Johnson solicitors, with weekly sessions throughout Conwy.
